Who we are

Adriane Hernandez is the founder and designer behind The JAEA Co., a creative studio specializing in original surface pattern design, custom textiles, and elevated coastal interiors. Through her signature watercolor patterns and hand-crafted prints, Adriane designs bespoke fabrics, wallpaper, soft furnishings, and stationery that bring artistry and refinement to homes and events.

Adriane holds a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University and a secondary accreditation from The New York Institute of Art and Design, where she further developed her expertise in interior design and decorative arts. She combines her artistic training with strong technical skills, including Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, textile design, and professional sewing and upholstery construction. As an expert seamstress and designer, she is able to translate her surface patterns into beautifully crafted, custom furnishings and textiles.

With a design perspective deeply rooted in Martha’s Vineyard, Adriane draws inspiration from the island’s hydrangeas, historic architecture, coastal landscapes, and timeless New England charm. Her work blends classic coastal elegance with modern design, helping clients create thoughtful spaces through custom fabrics, upholstery, wallpaper, drapery, pillows, and curated design concepts.

Adriane collaborates closely with homeowners, interior designers, and event clients to transform her original patterns into beautiful, functional pieces—from custom upholstered headboards and drapery to bespoke linens, wallpapers, and decorative accents.

When she’s not designing new patterns or working with clients, Adriane enjoys spending time roaming the beaches with Max, their two cats Lola and Gypsy, and the many foster animals they welcome into their home.
